Installation

  1. Copy the code into a custom HTML block on your website. WordPress, school sites and publisher pages must allow iframes.
  2. The widget loads independently of your page. Allow https://www.spaceweathertracker.com in your site’s frame-src policy.
  3. Keep the frame’s stated height, or make it taller. Narrow screens may scroll within the frame; do not crop its attribution.

About the readings

NOAA estimated planetary Kp describes a three-hour interval; it is not a one-minute Kp reading. The widget checks every five minutes while visible, but a check does not imply a new source value. Solar wind, IMF Bz and GOES X-ray flux update independently, with their own source timestamps. The storm scale is derived from Kp, not a local forecast.

Example use cases

Astronomy blogs, science classrooms, observatories and space-news publishers.

Free to use with visible SWT attribution. Not for navigation, emergency decisions or safety-of-life applications.

Refresh, sources & privacy

Data loads asynchronously and is checked every five minutes while the widget is visible. Observation timestamps belong to the source; forecast-valid times and ephemeris calculation times are labeled separately. A refresh failure preserves last available data with a warning. The widget sets no cookies, stores no location history, and includes no ads or analytics scripts. Standard hosting request logs may still be retained.

If your site blocks frames, shows an empty preview or strips HTML, check its iframe permissions and content security policy. During upstream outages, use the widget’s Refresh control. No API key or account is required.
