Norway's space weather monitoring is centered at Tromsø, home to the Tromsø Geophysical Observatory — one of the world's longest-running auroral research stations, with roots tracing back to Kristian Birkeland's pioneering observatory at Haldde in 1910. The Norwegian Centre for Space Weather (NOSWE), established in 2014, serves as Norway's official ISES Regional Warning Centre.
